JOB SUMMARY

As an Animal Caregiver / Trainer, you are responsible for the daily care, behavior training, and successful rehoming of dogs (and cats) within Animal’s Faith.

This role combines:

  •  Practical animal care
  • Behavior training
  • Customer contact and sales
  • Supervision of volunteers
  • Administration and reporting

You take full responsibility for the progress of the animals under your care and actively contribute to reducing behavior-related euthanasia.

PERFORMANCE GOALS

  • Ensuring clean, safe, and hygienic accommodations according to standards
  • Developing, executing, and maintaining individual training plans for each animal
  • Walking and supervising all assigned dogs daily
  • Observing and recording behavior, health, and progress
  • Writing clear daily handovers and reports
  • Matching animals to suitable owners/adopters
  • Advising clients and guiding them to appropriate pathways
  • Actively contributing to revenue through the sale of training and services
  • Supervising and guiding volunteers
  • Planning and structuring daily tasks
  • Identifying and directly solving problems
  • Working according to safety protocols

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • No specific education required
  • Experience with dogs is a plus
  • Experience with customer contact or sales is a plus
  • Basic skills with systems and administration are required
  • Self-reflection, eagerness to learn, and mental stability are essential

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Long-term physically active work
  • Working with dogs of different sizes and behavior levels
  • Working in a stimulating environment
  • Able to respond quickly in incidents
  • Active work for a large part of the day
